Facilities

Campus

Our 5000 square feet campus has five modernised classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art multimedia and overhead projectors to provide an atmosphere where students can learn in a more relaxed, stress-free and interactive environment. For our staff we have six offices where they perform students counselling, administration and other management duties.

Our Computer Lab is comprised of 25 latest work stations connected on local area network. Students have the access to the fast and reliable internet throughout the college timings. We can accommodate about 200 students in one given day.

Location

LCBM is based in the heart of East London on Leytonstone High Road, which is located 15 minutes from central London.

It is close to bus and tube transport links and literally 3 minutes walk from the Leytonstone tube station.

Information Technology

Students have access to a large volume of workstations linked to the internet and electronic mail services. The workstations can be used for a number of local applications and discipline related activities.

For those requiring a more substantial computing resource there are a number of high performance computer systems available. Access to computers can be gained throughout the working day, evenings and weekends.

Library

The library is a major feature of LCBM providing access to a wide range of books, journals, newspapers, slides and electronic resources supporting specific courses. The reserved section is of particular interest to students as it contains key books and selected reading material for course units.

The library is open for varied hours to include early mornings and late evenings. LCBM has organised links with a number of highly specialised libraries that students have access to, including British library and Waltham Forest library.

Counselling and advice

Deciding which course to take can be bit difficult at times and students seek advice for their careers and the ability to do any particular course from our career counsellors.

If students need advice on any practical problems such as welfare, benefits, grants, home office matters, or worries and emotional difficulties, they are able to talk to one of our counsellors. General queries can usually be dealt with immediately but for more specific problems appointments may be necessary, or referrals are given to specialist organisations.

Accomodation Services

For students coming from abroad or from other parts of the UK we can arrange accommodation locally. Accommodation will be in the form of shared flats or houses; this includes single bedrooms and in some cases the possibility of shared double rooms.

All accommodation must be paid for prior to entry, the majority of places demand a minimum of one month rent as deposit and another months rent in advance. The deposit is taken to cover the cost of any damage incurred by tenants and is refundable when the student leaves the property.

Industry Contacts for Student Placement

In today's competitive job market, work experience gives graduates something extra. The skills a student develops on placement - communication, time and project management, problem solving, team working etc - are invaluable assets when beginning a graduate career.

LCBM have industry contacts for student placement. The opportunities vary enormously from roles in small private companies to positions with huge multi-nationals. Students have recently been placed with companies in Hotel & Hospitality, Banking, Travel & Tourism, and Consumer industries.

Graduation

Our graduates go on to succeed in business, information technology, law, politics, hotel and hospitality and many other fields of endeavour.

We take pride to inform that since 2001, 410 students have been graduated from our college on different courses. Our students come from different countries creating a varied cosmopolitan environment and they return home with worthwhile British education. They have found positions in a number of organisations including World Bank, UNO, Government of Ghana, State Bank of Pakistan and other national and multinational organizations.
